In addition to these benefits, upgrading to a new HVAC system can also have a positive impact on the environment. Older systems tend to be less energy efficient, leading to higher carbon emissions and contributing to climate change. By investing in a new, more efficient system, you are not only improving your own comfort and saving money but also doing your part in reducing environmental impact.

Why Should I Replace My AC?

Energy Efficiency:

Older AC units tend to be much less efficient compared to newer models. Sticking with an outdated system can lead to higher energy bills and subpar cooling performance, which ultimately costs you more in the long run.

Refrigerant Leaks:

The refrigerant is essential for the cooling process, and any leaks can severely impact performance. Low refrigerant levels can cause the unit to work harder, leading to overheating and potential compressor failure if not addressed promptly.

Increased Reliability:

As AC units age, they become more prone to breakdowns and repairs. Replacing an old unit with a new one ensures a more reliable cooling solution, minimizing the chances of unexpected failures and the inconvenience they bring, especially during the hottest months.

What Type of Unit Should I Buy

Lee’s HVAC highly recommends using Lennox or AC Pro units, having thoroughly vetted both companies for their exceptional quality and efficiency in providing reliable cooling solutions. With a commitment to excellence, both brands have proven to deliver top-notch performance, ensuring that your home remains comfortable even during the hottest months.

My old HVAC system finally died, and in the middle of summer. I sent a request for quotes on Yelp and Lee's HVAC immediately responded and said they can send a tech the following day. They were super responsive and even followed up a couple of times when I forgot to respond.

With summer approaching, we decided to conduct diagnostics on our HVAC units (rental and home) to ensure they were in good working order. Consequently, we contacted several vendors for assessments. The first two provided repair and cleaning estimates that seemed unreasonably high. We then reached out to Lee's HVAC, and Edaan conducted a thorough inspection of both units.

We just replaced our two old condensers with Lee's HVAC. Lee was great to communicate with, didn't try to upsell us on anything, and we felt he was very honest throughout the whole process. His pricing was great compared to all the other quotes that we received. His install team was professional, neat, and did a seamless swap. Lee recommended our new slimline high efficiency condensers and it's like night and day. They work great and are so quiet. So glad he recommended.

My AC unit went out on the first day of a heat wave, naturally! Encino was 110 degrees. I called Lee’s HVAC based on the reviews, and Lee personally answered the phone at 7 AM (well before business hours). He said they were nearby to Encino and had someone over within the hour. They came out, diagnosed the issue and recommended a new 4 ton unit was needed. A crane was needed to lift the unit onto my roof and the system is installed and working perfectly. You can tell it’s a family-owned business by the way they treat you. They worked with me on price and did such a clean job. You can see in my photos. Definitely recommend!!

You should consider replacing your AC unit if it is over 10-15 years old, requires frequent repairs, inefficiently cools your home, or if your energy bills have significantly increased. Upgrading to a new, energy-efficient model can improve comfort and reduce energy costs.

Signs that your AC unit may need replacement include inadequate cooling, unusual noises, frequent breakdowns, a spike in energy bills, and the need for R-22 refrigerant, which is being phased out. If you experience these issues, it might be time to consider a new system.

Choosing the right AC unit involves evaluating your home’s size, insulation, and cooling needs. An HVAC professional can help determine the correct unit size and type, ensuring it is efficient and suited to your specific requirements.

The AC replacement process includes evaluating your current system, selecting an appropriate new unit, removing the old system, installing the new one, and performing a thorough test to ensure proper operation. Professionals handle these steps to guarantee a seamless transition.

Replacing an old, inefficient AC unit with a new, energy-efficient model can significantly reduce energy bills due to improved efficiency. Additionally, new units require less frequent repairs and maintenance, leading to further cost savings over time.

Hiring a professional for AC replacement ensures the job is done safely and accurately. Professionals have the expertise to select the right unit for your home, perform a precise installation, and ensure optimal performance, enhancing comfort and energy efficiency.
